Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the PassportMap mobile application ("the App"), provided by BP Labs ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. What PassportMap is

PassportMap is an informational tool that helps you locate facilities in the ASTC (Association of Science and Technology Centers) Travel Passport program, store a photo of your own membership card for convenience, and plan trips around partner science centers.

2. Not affiliated; no guarantee of admission

PassportMap is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the Association of Science and Technology Centers (ASTC) or any museum or science center. Admission and reciprocal benefits are determined solely by ASTC and the individual facilities and are subject to their rules — including the ASTC reciprocity distance rule (often described as the "90-mile" rule) and each facility's own policies, all of which can change at any time.The App's facility listings, eligibility indicators, and distance calculations are provided for convenience only and may be incomplete, out of date, or inaccurate. Always confirm eligibility and admission directly with the facility before you travel. The membership card photo stored in the App is for your own reference and does not by itself grant admission.

3. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your own non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms and the Apple App Store terms.

4. Subscriptions, purchases, and billing

PassportMap offers a free version and a paid "Pro" upgrade, available as:

  • Pro Annual: an auto-renewing subscription billed yearly, which may include a free trial period; and

  • Pro Lifetime: a one-time purchase.

Purchases are processed by Apple through your Apple Account. For the auto-renewing subscription:

  • Payment is charged to your Apple Account upon confirmation of purchase.

  • The subscription automatically renews for the same period at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

  • Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.

  • If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase the subscription.

  • You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions). Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.

  • Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's policies; we cannot issue refunds directly.

Pro Lifetime is a one-time purchase that removes ads and unlocks Pro features for as long as the App remains available and supported.

5. Advertising

The free version displays third-party ads. See our Privacy Policy for how advertising data is handled. Upgrading to Pro removes ads.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the App, including not attempting to reverse engineer or interfere with it, and not using it to violate any law or any facility's or ASTC's rules. You are responsible for any membership card image you store, and you confirm you have the right to use it.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BP Labs will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any denied admission, travel costs, or other losses arising from your use of or reliance on the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months before the claim arose.

8. Apple

These Terms are between you and BP Labs only, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the App. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. Your use of the App must also comply with the Apple Media Services Terms and Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA), available at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/, which applies in addition to these Terms.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms or the App from time to time. Your continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms. The current version is posted at https://passportmap-terms.carrd.co.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
